Are your RV and Tent Sites Full Hook-Ups?
Yes, all sites are Full Hook-Up sites (Water, Sewer and Electric 30/50 Amps and cable). In addition, all sites are level concrete pads with patios. Most sites are approximately 50-60 feet long. All sites have picnic tables.
Do your sites have BBQ Grills?
No, sites do not have BBQ Grills. You may bring your own or purchase a small grill at our campground store.
Are fires allowed and do you have fire pits? Are fires allowed on the beach? Do you sell firewood?
Sites do not have fire pits. Yes, fires are allowed at sites above ground only. You may bring your own or purchase one in our store when available.
Open fires are allowed on the beach with a permit. Permits are free and available at the campground office.
Yes, firewood is available for sale at the Gatehouse and the campground office.
Can I request to be next to someone?
To be placed at neighboring sites, please call Reservations to book as a Group. There is a one-time, non-refundable group fee of $25.00 per site.
Are golf carts allowed? Do you rent golf carts?
Camp Hatteras does not provide golf carts. You can bring your own golf cart, there is a $5.00 a night fee. Insurance is not required however you must accept and abide by the Rules for Golf Cart Operation.
Golf Carts can be rented locally from Island Cruisers (252-987-2097).
Are pets allowed in the park? Are pets allowed on the beach?
Yes, pets are allowed in the park and on the beach. Whether in the park or enjoying the beach, pets must be on a leash at all times. There is a $3.00 per pet, per night charge in the park.
What are your Park Models like?
Our park model units sleep up to 6 people. They have 1 queen bedroom, 1 full bathroom with a shower, a full kitchen, dining table, and 2 sleep sofas. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, & pans. You will need to bring your own linens, including pillows.

What are your Check In and Check Out times?
You may check in any time after 1 PM on the day of your scheduled arrival.
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate early arrivals.

Our Check Out time is 11 AM.

Day guests must depart at 9 PM.

The nearest grocery store is the Food Lion just south of us in Avon.
Avon is about 17 miles south on NC 12 from Camp Hatteras.
Where is the nearest hardware store?
The nearest hardware store is Ace Hardware in Avon.
Where is the nearest pharmacy?
The nearest pharmacy is Beach Pharmacy in Avon.
Where is the nearest Urgent Care Facility?
The nearest urgent care facility is Outer Banks Health Urgent Care in Nags Head, approximately 27 miles north of Camp Hatteras.
Are there any local businesses where I can purchase RV Parts or have my RV
repaired?
We have a selection of RV supplies available in our store.

Do you have Wi-Fi?
Wi-Fi here is limited and not designed for streaming. For your convenience, a Wi-Fi hot spot is located at the Clubhouse. Our Clubhouse Lounge makes for a comfortable place to work, catch up on emails, or enjoy time with friends and family.
