Take VA 168 south to NC158 East

thru Nags Head, NC.  

Then follow NC12 South

(Cape Hattteras National Seashore)

to Rodanthe at milepost 40.5.

From the West,

Interstate 95 area.

Take Exit 138/US 64 East

to Manteo/Nags Head, NC.

Then follow NC12 South

(Cape Hatteras National Seashore)

to Rodanthe milepost 40.5.

Access to Hatteras Island 

from the South is available

via the NC Ferry System from

Cedar Island to Ocracoke

then to Hatteras Island.
