We stayed last week and the staff was amazing!!! The office closes at 11pm and at roughly 10:30 our toilet in the RV overflowed. I went over to the office a little after 11pm to get a number for a repairman. Instead I got 3 gentlemen willing to come and help fix the problem and a cleaning crew willing to help with supplies to clean up the mess. The next day the staff followed up to make sure we were still good. We stayed on the Sound Side and the bath house is nice and super clean!!! The staff made tie-dye shirts with the kids and were super friendly.

We are looking forward to our next stay!!! Thank you again!!!

This is the best of the best in RV Resorts. Pricey during season but well worth it. Sites are big & very accommodating. Love that you can walk to the ocean (Atlantic) or to the interior waterways. Lots to do! Pool is great (have outdoor & indoor). Staff is great! Planned to stay 2 nights & decided to extene to a 3rd. They were awesome in making it happen for us. Lots of places on the island to stay, but none better!

This campground is truly the best of the best in RV camping resorts. The sites are well laid out with good spacing, level concrete pads, and great functioning full hookups. It is unique in that it fronts not only the ocean but Pamlico Sound with breathtaking views in both areas. We camped in an ocean front site which provides you with a quick minute or two walk to the beach. The grounds are kept immaculately clean with a very professional and helpful staff. We have already booked for our third year here and have definitely found our favorite beach home.

I highly recommend this facility!!!

Just wanted to thank Camp Hatteras for having Sunday services on the campground. My husband and I were celebrating our 23rd wedding anniversary on August 14th and wanted to attend services while on vacation. What a treat to walk out of our camper and into worship service wearing t-shirts and flip-flops. Wow!

Thank you for having High Tower Ministry. They were awesome! Love the campground too!!!!

We loved our 3 days at this ocean front resort We chose an ocean front site which put us less than 200 feet from the water's edge. The resort is close to lots of great restaurants and miles of unspoiled beaches. We will return to this friendly and spotless campground next year.

We had a very nice oceanfront site. Faces the dunes and a VERY short stroll over the dune to the wide beach.

Friendly staff and well kept park. Camped in a 37 foot class A with four slide outs.

The swimming pool was quite a walk from the beach, but that is where having a golf cart is an advantage!

Our travels this summer have taken us from New Jersey to California and now we are on our way back.
Camp Hatteras was one of the best parks that we stayed in during our 2 month trip. The sites are clean and include a picnic table. Restrooms are incredible. Clean, cool and well lit. The park was well planned. Roads are clearly marked and there is ample room to move even the largest motorhomes in and out without difficulty. Considering the OBX area, you know that shopping for necessities can be quite a trek. There is a grocery store about 15 miles away. It was well stocked and we were able to pick up all we needed. There are a few local restaurants, all offering fresh seafood along with salads and sandwiches. The beach access is easy from the park, and a shower is provided for rinsing sand of yourself and your beach gear. Our site backed up directly to the dunes. We could hear the waves, although there is no ocean view because of the height of the dunes, there is a wooden staircase over the dunes, providing easier beach access. I also saw a trail from the campsite over the dunes to the beach, this would be easier than the stairs, especially if you're loaded with beach gear. We weren't able to surf at our beach, conditions were better at the beach off Sea Isle Drive, Just a short drive away. Our stay was truly enjoyable, staff was friendly and other guests were respectful of each individual site. Enjoy your stay at Camp Hatteras!!

We were here during “Hermine”, the staff advised us to move from our Sound Side Site (385) to a safer area for our security. On Saturday September 3rd, violent winds caused damage to our motor home and a staff member

(Rob) saved us from further extensive damage by removing the dangerous extension on the awning roll.

We wish to give our most heartwarming thanks to him and others who helped us in this difficult situation.

Everybody, without exception, who is on staff at your campground,

made us feel really welcome and seemed to take our situation as well as our security at heart.

Thank You!
